Self-Introduction --version02 (Autumn 2026)
I started out drawing and translating manga; over the past couple of years, tinkering with tools became part of the daily routine too. These days I mostly write code to solve problems within arm's reach: manga translation and typesetting, a JLPT question bank, new-episode notifications, period tracking — the starting point is usually "this is annoying every single time". What I reach for: Next.js / React, Python (FastAPI), Supabase, mostly deployed on Cloudflare and Vercel; plus Electron / Tauri for desktop builds, so friends who don't want to fight with environments can just double-click. One principle has gradually settled in: if it can run locally, it doesn't go to the cloud; if it doesn't need collecting, it doesn't get collected. This site is part of the experiment too — in May 2026 it went from a dynamic Django site to a fully static trilingual one.
